It is a citizenship education program aimed towards people from 11 to 18 years old <strong>in the context of a real election campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This 5-step program offers real and participatory activities to educate young people on citizenship. The approach includes simulated elections which allow young people to position themselves on the actual candidates. This program covers medias and information education, debates, opinion&#8217;s building and critical thinking\u2026<\/p>\n<h2>________________________________________________<\/h2>\n<h2>Turnkey lesson series<\/h2>\n<p>Each lesson series includes educational activities that can vary in nature and complexity. You can pick lessons plans that interest you to create your own lessons series, suitable to the time you have and your educational goals.<\/p>\n<p>Suggested method and duration are only indications, you can adapt them to your audience and constraints (ex: group size).<\/p>\n<h2>________________________________________________<\/h2>\n<h2>Active teaching methods<\/h2>\n<p>Activities available on <em>\u00c9<\/em><i>lecteurs en Herbe<\/i> use active teaching methods. The goal is for young people to build knowledge from <strong>varied learning experiences<\/strong> of which they are the makers and actors.<\/p>\n<p>These activities value <strong>teamwork<\/strong> to promote <strong>cooperation<\/strong> between participants, as well as respect for others and their differences (especially of opinions).<\/p>\n<h2>________________________________________________<\/h2>\n<h2>A collaborative approach<\/h2>\n<h4>On our educational toolbox<\/h4>\n<p>Our toolbox is produced collaboratively by the association\u2019s educational committee . Half of the committee is from the French Education system, the other half are youth workers.<\/p>\n<h4>An online community:<\/h4>\n<p>All education material are available on <i>\u00c9lecteurs en Herbe\u2018<\/i>s website. <strong>The website has been designed in order to ease<\/strong> the sharing of experiences (intended to the educational community).
